“Waste Bill” is an anomaly in today’s Hollywood culture. Here is a movie that neither makes you consider too hard nor tears at you heartstrings–and it is a truly fine flick. Under the shrewd (and possibly insane) hands of Quentin Tarantino, “Demolish Bill” details an ultrally brutal and even more emotionally statisfying quest for revenge.
Beat to a bloody pulp and shot in the head and left for tiresome at her wedding day, The Bride (Uma Thurman, whose name is never revealed) is carted away in a four-year-long coma. She wakes up and vows revenge. And, oh, does Thurman play revenge well. It seems that the supporting cast (Lucy Lui, Vivica A. Fox, among others) truly beat Thurman to the edge of death. Her eyes bid her emotion–the dinky and brief dialogue isn’t even principal. She is surpremely convincing in every aspect of her performance, even throughout the amazingly stylish fight sequences (which set aside “The Matrix” to shame) . She fights like a pro with samurai swords, lethal daggers, butcher knives, and frying pans.
One of the main draws to this redefining adventure is the hilarious subject matter. Tarantino goes overboard. Blood flies about like fruit punch, gushing out of wounds like a torrential downpour (sometimes, in fact, you will even wonder if the human body has that great blood), and in any other movie, that gore would force you to leave–but here, it doesn’t. Why? Because Tarantino never takes himself too seriously. Fight scenes are punctuated with effective and sometimes comic dialogue. But beneath the hokey action scenes and the cute quips, there is a true movie at work here. Tarantino dances about the timeline, bouncing the legend assist and forth to a dizzying point, which forces your burly attention on the gradually unfolding general tale. The cliffhanger ending merely seals the deal.

“Destroy Bill” deserves all of the accolades it gets. Although it may seem to be a hackfest on the surface, there is fair talent at work here. Uma Thurman and Lucy Lui give absorbing performances; the yarn, however linear it may be, it instantly grabbing; and Tarantino’s masterful direction is as inspiringly as it is slightly distubring. A apt masterpiece. One of the films to beat for 2003.
Don’t accept me wrong: I liked the movie a lot. But this is a skimpy DVD and colorful how Miramax works, unbiased the first of several editions. If you believe off buying this one and attach the money aside, I’m obvious you’ll have opportunities to catch Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 together for a lower trace – or the rumored Extinguish Bill: Director’s Slice that will expose it as one 3-hour movie. Those later editions will likely have all the extras – this one doesn’t behold like it has worthy. As someone who’s been burned by Miramax’s DVD practices before, I unbiased want to offer you a warning. Be patient – and you’ll be rewarded later.

And then there’s the very touching “Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days”. Narrated by James Cobourn, it’s an initiate and just inspect at what took region in the last few months of Marilyn’s life, and the problems she was having while filming her final film. Immeditaley following the documentary there is an edited, reconstruction of the scenes shot for the film. This film, also starring Dean Martin, “Something’s Got To Give”, which was to be a remake of the Grant/Dunne film “My Popular Wife”, finally saw an audience as “Recede Over Darling” with James Garner and Doris Day.

Betting On Auto Rushing: What Are The Odds?
September 30th, 2010Gambling comes in numerous forms and just whenever you thought that betting on horse races went out of style; there comes a brand new fad that many people think about just as fun. Indeed, betting on people who are included inside auto rushing sport has become just as popular, if not a lot more popular, than individuals betting on their horse races. But is there any benefit to betting about the drivers of the cars inside car racing industry? Center caps what’s even a lot more interesting could be the simple fact that several similarities and differences lie between the activity of betting on horse races and automotive races. But see for yourself whether you ought to bet on someone involved in automotive rushing, and also the benefit just might fall your way.
Similarities with Horse Race Bets
Just as horse race betting was really common just ten to twenty years ago, the betting of horse races has now turned into automobile race betting, which is no better than simply gambling. The major similarity that automobile racing bets have with those who bet on horse races stands out as the simple fact that there’s no simple way to know who’s going to win the race. Just as horses are too unpredictable to bet on, so are humans who have auto-raced for a long time. The driver in the vehicle might be having an “off” day, just as any horse can as well.
One more way, though, that car racing betting is similar to horse race betting is the fact that there is a complete market out for it. Indeed, there are many those who take into account automotive race to be even much more crucial than horse rushing, and many people from the exact same circles that bet on horse racing are now betting on the drivers that engage in vehicle racing.
Main Difference with Vehicle Racing
One with the finest things about betting on auto racing, however, is that humans are additional predictable than horses at any time could be. Just think about the NASCAR scenario: when someone comes in 1st place it’s rare that the spot is ever moved. Unless the automobile and driver of auto racing change in some significant way, the exact same drivers of the car racing industry continue to keep their essential status more than time. This complete scenario makes betting on car race not just additional predictable, but also simpler to win.
But look at the predicament of auto racing bets when a bet is placed on a vehicle and driver who has come in first location consistently for the past half of a year. Even even though it really is incredibly most likely that the person who has come in initial location will do so again for a lot of times above, it’s also incredibly likely that a new automobile and driver will very easily beat out and win above the regular winner on the car race.
Within the end, is it actually actually beneficial to bet on any in the car race that goes on, or is it at any time advantageous to bet on any in the horse races that go on? Even nevertheless you will find folks who do discover those times that they win a jackpot with the races that they bet on, additional often than not they are sorely disappointed when their automobile racing driver has lost to their colleagues. For this reason, the odds of winning bets on auto rushing, even however they seem probably, can actually be slim to none!

I had tall expectations for this DVD. First reviews were very good; secondly the cast promised grand things on paper. For once it isn’t primary to hedge, qualify or equivocate in reviewing a DVD. I know the opera is called Carmen and Antonacci is improbable, sexy distinguished and sings quite beautifully. My greatest enthusiasm. however, must go to Jonas Kaufmann’s Don Jose. Quite simply it is the best sung and acted Jose I have ever seen or heard. Kaufmann clearly has plan about the character and the music as so worthy intelligence has gone into the creation we sight on stage that I simply can’t survey it being bettered. Here is a tenor with brains, imagination and the intelligence to study light and shade in Jose’s music. Most tenors go at plump throttle, screaming out high notes and generally deem that Jose is a verismo tenor. Well, he isn’t; he is a complex conflicted man and Kaufmann brings this all to the character. The imagination he brings to the Flower Song is even better than Gedda’s first go around with the role with Beecham conducting; by the time he recorded it a second time he was enlighten to play the “tenor” to his Carmencita, Maria, reveal with going for volumn alone.

The remainder of the cast is more than first rate, with a splendid Michaela from Norah Ansellem and Ildebrando D’arcangelo a properly arrogant Escamillo. Pappano provided fantastic wait on with the ROH playing beautifully.
The edition outmoded was Oeser which has been savaged by music scholars and critics. I am not a scholar and will effect no pretense at being one. But I was thrilled that remarkable of the dialogue was returned and the terrible recits which are monotonous musically discarded. And even though the cast had only one native French speaker (I have been told that Ansellelm is French) tremendous pain has been made on the allotment of the artists to express the language as very recognizable French. The aged French Columbia position which appeared around 1950 established a document that showed how the French would develop Carmen. It wasn’t honest that the singing was sterling, but authentic, a groups of singers of a school of singing and acting that no longer exists today. This performance comes closer to that ideal than any I have heard or seen.

Anna Caterina Antonacci is my popular “Carmen” yet! She is a fabulous
singer and a an splendid actress as well. She also has the looks for
a truly believable Carmen. Jonas Kaufman, as Don Jose, is beneficial.
This is my first introduction to his work, and he has a unbelievable rich
voice. I never understanding anyone could equal Samuel Ramey as the matador
Escamillo, but Ildebrando D’Arcangelo does! He plays the fraction with devour,
and I adore his strong splendid sigh. I like the matador moves he displays in the choreography for his introductory “Toreador” song. This
opera is large fun. I bear two other very salubrious “Carmen” dvd’s. One is the
Agnes Baltsa, Carreras and Ramey version and the other is the relatively
recent Carmen that was filmed in Verona with Marina Domashenko and Marco
Berti. This current one, starring Antonacci and Kaufman, is my well-liked of the
three. Everything is perfect! It is so distinguished fun to gawk and listen to!
Highly recommended!

The aged DVD of “Up in Smoke” was what you’d question — the movie duly presented plus a commentary with Cheech Marin and Adler, plus a handful of deleted scenes.
This time, Paramount fills the DVD bong with a terrific unusual enthralling music video for the movie’s “Alice Bowie” song; a recent featurette with producer Lou Adler and Cheech & Chong (separately) talking about the movie; a high-speed montage of every instance someone says “man” in the movie; and some newly bewitching 1970s radio promos — all of presented in the high spirits of the film.
The customary commentary (ported over) and modern featurette convey some gigantic tales about the movie and the people who worked on it, such as Stacey Keach, Tom Skerritt, Harry Dean Stanton, Edie Adams and one-man test audience Jack Nicholson.
The widescreen DVD images leer vast, especially upconverted, with lots of colorful, saturated distinguished colors that near across as reasonably natural. The music benefits from some tasty stereo separation and the dialogue is certain — even when the boys are fine and zonked.
pleasant dreams …
Out of all the Cheech & Chong collaborations, their first film, 1978′s Up In Smoke unruffled stands as the best. A comedy classic that impartial can’t be duplicated, not even by themselves. The status (can you guess? ) concerns two dudes, Pedro (Cheech) & Man (Chong) and their search for the best weed, rock music, and friendly times, man. Of course this jog comes with a designate, evading a group of “undercover” cops led by the obsessed Sgt. Stedenko (Stacy Keach) . If you like cars, you’ll no doubt savor Pedro’s Care For Machine, which he decorated himself, and the van made completely out of pot! Behold out for that smoke. A few of the funniest scenes near from this van: 1. When the cop pulls them over and forgets why! and 2. When Stedenko and crew stand next to the smoking van and feel the influence, then order some pizzas! If you like to rock, then you’ve got that too. To quote the concert announcer – “…I don’t know who they are, but here’s ALICE BOWIE.” Being a drummer myself, I’m more than a tiny jealous of Chong’s astronomical drumsticks! However, I’m not jealous of Cheech’s tu-tu! The characters Cheech & Chong created began to wear out in later films, but don’t count this one out. Up In Smoke is when it was novel and new and somehow it quiet “smokes” to this day.

Some comments on the DVD: One reviewer stated that the DVD doesn’t have any features, but that’s impartial not right. I unprejudiced bought the 2000 Paramount DVD release and it has the following:
*Widescreen Version for 16:9 TVs
*Feature Length Commentary with Cheech Marin & Director Lou Adler
*8 Deleted Scenes (including Harry Dean Stanton as a security guard) with optional commentary by Cheech & Lou Adler
*Original Theatrical Trailer
*Dolby Digital: English 5.1 Surround/Restored English Mono
*English Subtitles
A immense scheme to hold a comedy classic and Paramount has given a puny something to the fans with this DVD release. Don’t even sleep on it, impartial derive this primo disc, man!

I guess I must be the oddball that thinks that Robotech Masters/Southern Contaminated was the better of the two post-Macross series — It is in this reviewer’s understanding, that Novel Generation was indubitably the worst season of Robotech. Though there are some expedient aspects of Unusual Generation, these have already been covered by others and so the reviewer will focus on what are deemed to be the awful things about Unique Generation that some fans tend to sidestep.
New Generation picks up where Robotech Masters left off, with the Invid invading the Earth after having detected the presence of their precious Flower of Life upon conclusion of the Second Robotech War. A returning part of the Robotech Expeditionary Quickly (Carelessly called “Mars Nasty” although this mercurial was returning from the homeworld of the Robotech Masters, not Mars..An editing mistake never rectified) is all but annnihilated– do for one survivor– Scott Bernard, who undergoes a series of adventures with his growing band of resistance fighters in a quest to slay the Invid headquarters, Reflex Point.

I was extremely indignant about the post-apocalyptic feel about this and the different tone this was going to purchase from its predecessors, but the execution was botched up. For starters, even though some fans say that this series has a “wonderful storyline,” unlike the other two seasons which had an ongoing storyline with each episode building up from the one before it, Original Generation took a considerable more episodic near, particularly in the first half. Many of the episodes were characterized by adventures determined enough from one another that they that could have been re-arranged in any order without deleterious attain on the overall storyline. i.e. It was not critical to search for Episode B before C since none of the events in B had any bearing on C, and vice-versa. In this reviewer’s understanding, episodicity may be effective for casual Saturday Morning cartoon viewers, but not for getting absorbed into a long, evolved and rich story.
In addition, the first half of the third season was marred by excessive repetition in that most of the episodes had a predictable formula: The heroes would overcome some pickle and be attacked by yet ANOTHER random patrol of Invid approach the slay of the half-hour. This same formula was staple for the first 14 episodes or so, with few exceptions. This really accentuated the aforementioned episodic feel of this season. As a result, this repetition and lack of a continuous story-arc made Unusual Gen feel more like a Saturday Morning cartoon akin to Voltron (nothing against Voltron, unbiased not Robotech) than to the first two Robotech seasons. Like Voltron, most of the first approx. 14 episodes of Fresh Gen were characterized by episodicity and a climactic (although predictable) mammoth battle advance the episode’s destroy. It didn’t befriend that Lunk looked a lot like Hunk from Voltron, but I digress.
The above mentioned episodicity pickle of Fresh Gen would have been more scrumptious had the Invid side of the conflict been better presented (like they were in Macross or Southern Harmful) . Unfortunately, although there is some focus on the band of freedom fighters, the Invid are mysterously left in the background, only manifesting themselves as a random patrol of adversaries that the heroes dispatch without distinguished pains at the ruin of many of the episodes. For most of Original Generation, there is very minute showing the Invid side of the conflict– their thoughts, motivations, fears, plans..etc. It didn’t befriend that many of the episodes had limited to do with the Invid (except with that random and predictable battle advance the episode’s waste), as the challenges the freedom fighters faced often had to do with other outside forces such as thugs, sinful businessmen, abominable weather..etc. Interestingly, this is in intriguing dissimilarity to both Macross saga and the much-maligned Robotech Masters, where the enemy side of the conflict was a tall focus of both.
Another thing that bugged me about this third season was the unsatisfactory resolution of some episodes. This may be a consequence of the episodic format of Fresh Generation making it difficult for unresolved adventures to continue on over into subsequent episodes. Case in point was the ending of the episode where Rook defeats a rival gang and along with Rand meets up with her mom that she hadn’t seen in a long time. Rand explains that he had already spoken with her mom, although the episode never shows this- it was done leisurely the scenes. Her mom had never been mentioned up to that point nor was there any evidence in the episode that Rook was looking for her mom. Inexplicably, without her mom ever saying a word, the reunion doesn’t even last 10 seconds before Rook inexplicably takes off leaving her mom slack. She mentions something about thinking her mom was disappointed in what she had become but the character development in that sequence fell flat and the viewer is left thinking that there could have been considerable more. Again, there were many instances like this throughout the series with unresolved legend arcs, slice corners, and missed opportunities for character development.
The first 14 episodes were so repetitive and episodic that by the time that the storyline picked up in the last 12 episodes or so, it was too runt too slow. Regardless, both the character development and account improved considerably in the second half. Around this point the mystery surrounding the simulagent, Ariel, and her visions kick into play,as she plays a key share in unraveling (finally) some of the Invid plans. Other standout moments include Sera developing human emotions and beginning to expect the Invid ways, Lunk’s breakdown setting off a temporary disband of some members, and Rook/Rand’s relationship beginning to engage off. Unfortunately, I regain Annie to be more annoying than Lynn Minmei can ever hope to be and easily wins the coveted honor of “The Jar Jar Binks of Robotech” for me. I honest found it so astounding that the band would let this exiguous, annoying girl with no combat usefulness whatsoever ticket along on so many uncertain adventures. It would have been the equivalent of Minmei joining the Skull Squadron, failing to shoot down more than one enemy plane, yet somehow surviving all the missions! I understand Annie was meant to be laughable relief, but Macross and Southern Obnoxious did without such a character.
Other things that made me cringe about Original Generation was that many of the actions scenes were cinematic to the point of incredulity. In Star Wars, stormtroopers could be shooting the heroes in tiresome perceive and miss them utterly. Well, Original Gen took this principle to current heights. There were many, many embarrassing sequences like this but I will portray here one in particular. In one of the first episodes, Rand had turned on his protoculture-powered blaster and alerted nearby Invid of their region. The Invid had the heroes surrounded and were shooting at them at *close range* in a clearing(of course Annie was unprejudiced doing nothing), and the blasts would continually go past the heroes’ shoulders while they were turned away from the blasts, having a rotund conversation to boot, and ignoring the enemy fire! At least in Macross and Southern Depraved, targets made attempts to avoid enemy fire, whereas in Current Gen, enemy fire would continually miss even though the target would not even try to pick up out of the scheme! This can only be attributed to really idle animation.
As powerful as I absolutely admire The Robotech music, I am of the plan that this differently-flavored chapter could have been given a few tunes that better described its post-apocalyptic feel. Calm, the basic Robotech music works well honest not as well as it does with the first two chapters.
Although Recent Generation is the worst of the three Robotech seasons, it is tranquil a crucial fraction of the saga, particularly, if one wishes to be up to date with the latest project (Shadow Chronicles) and any subsequent ones.
New Generation is actually worth closer to 3.5 stars, but due to the reviewer’s belief that the average reviews for this share of the saga are significantly inflated (as high as Macross??? WHAT?!), he gives Current Generation 2 stars.
Nice 5.1 sound but i dont gape any unique scene or something its composed the same but with current sound

In 1940, Katherine Hepburn’s movie career was in desperate condition. Her 1938 film BRINGING UP BABY, although recognized as a Howard Hawks’s masterpiece today, was at the time a box office failure. The failure signaled the temporary kill of request for her talents in Hollywood, although she had HOLIDAY in the can (and costarring, like both BRINGING UP BABY and THE PHILADELPHIA Tale, Cary Grant) . So, she went wait on to the stage, in a play written specifically for her, and the subsequent hit was an unexpected and triumphant return to the cloak for Hepburn. Her career never looked help again, especially when two years later she teamed with Spencer Tracy for the first time. Ironically, she originally requested that Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy play the Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart roles.
THE PHILADELPHIA Record is such an extraordinarily well-done film that one can recognize it repeatedly, reveling each time in unique and hidden details. It strikes the perfect balance of being spectacularly well-acted, hysterically laughable, and delightfully laughable while maintaining an exquisite veneer. The cast is nearly overwhelming in its quality, with Hepburn and Grant turning in especially resplendent performances. Jimmy Stewart is also ample, though he won an Oscar for this year that he probably didn’t deserve. The Academy in 1940 may have been giving him the award as an apology for not having won the year before for MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON. Unfortunately, this meant that Jimmy Stewart’s best friend Henry Fonda failed to derive for one of the finest performances in the history of American cinema, as Tom Joad in THE GRAPES OF WRATH. Serene, although the Oscar clearly should have gone to Fonda, Stewart manages a astronomical turn. He and Grant manage a ample moment when Stewart adlibbed a hiccup, and Grant, not batting an inspect, adlibbed, “Excuse me.” The rest of the cast is flawless. Too many excel to mention, but special mention must be made of Roland Young as Uncle Willie, Virginia Weidler in a suitable turn as Tracy Lord’s precocious younger sister, and the erstwhile Errol Flynn nemesis Henry Daniell as the devious and unscrupulous Sidney Kidd.
Although this film holds up magnificently upon reviewings, there is nothing like seeing it for the first time. I remember vividly how gripping it was to look this in the lamentably demised Lincoln Theater in Unusual Haven, Connecticut, having absolutely no notion how the film was going to extinguish only five minutes before the closing credits. Who will Tracy marry? Will she marry? How will the film managed to tie up all the loose ends.
Buy,Download, Or Stream The Philadelphia Story! Click Here
I have a list of my all time celebrated lines from films. One of my favorites comes from this one. On the morning after Tracy has gotten rip-roaringly drunk, she has almost no memories of what happened, but what she does remove makes her fright that she might have been in a compromising space with Jimmy Stewart. After Stewart assures the confused and scared Tracy Lord that nothing happened because she was drunk and “there are rules about that sort of thing,” the infinitely relieved Tracy says, “I contemplate men are unbelievable.”
The film has managed to permeate our culture in subtle ways, from spellbinding musical remakes, to providing eminent adult movie stars with their names, to providing foundations for jokes (in the Rocky and Bullwinkle adventure “The Ruby Yacht of Omar Khayyam,” whenever Bullwinkle sees his jewel encrusted little boat, he mutters under his breath, “Yar, yar”) .
They do few movies of the level of quality as “The Philadelphia Fable.” This movie is honest burly of life, wonderful and abominable. Cary Grant, James Stewart and Katharine Hepburn are a trifecta of unbelievable talent, and they blend together with ease and style. Like precise people, everyone has their faults and their strengths. Everyone is accurate and gross at the same time, in their acquire map.
The dialog is so incredible, you want to quote it at every opportunity, although your life probably doesn’t provide the opportunity to plunge these kinds of quotes. The “High Society” at play, and the lowbrow crashers making their nickels and dimes all the while allowing their pretensions to art…this is astronomical drama.

The DVD is not particularly inviting, and is a surprising let down for such an unbelievable film, however a film this huge doesn’t need extras. The main course is filling enough.
Definitely something you will gape over and over again. One of the best.

As is to be expected of a gargantuan director, (F.W. Murnau, “Nosferatu”, “The Man Who Laughs”), “Faust” delivers a luminous adaption of this classic tale concerning the perennial subject of safe versus wicked. Though, not apparently the first telling of this yarn, (IMDB lists 5 previous films with this title), it’s perhaps, (to my knowledge) the oldest surviving version available. Its brilliance deserves preservation.
In a world struggling against pestilence, famine, and disease Mephisto decides he can attempt a hostile take-over through a dependable estate deal. The Archangel Michael agrees, that if Mephisto can gain Faust over to his side, he gets the kit and kaboodle. Faust is a tired former doctor/alchemist who is disappointed at his inability to offer healing to those with the rampant-running plague. Soon, he calls on Mephisto and strikes up a deal with him. Mephisto gives him youth and pleasures of the world, until Faust falls for a simple girl.

This film is brilliantly done, with astonishing effects and sparkling storytelling. Some scenes are downright eerie, like Mephisto standing over the town with ravens wings. Emil Jennings plays a gleaming Mephisto, somewhere between the vivid humor of mythical Loki and the black faulty vision of Zarathrustra’s Angra Mainyu. Gösta Ekman is colorful as Faust as well, from withered ragged man to young libertine, he shows talent rarely seen on the cloak in unique time.
Though there aren’t a lot of features on this disc, (including a nice photo gallery, a link to Kino’s website, and scene selection), the print is attractive for its age, and the music recently recorded and very appropriate. The mark is a slight high, but your not purchasing a unlit copy for a few bucks, but a masterpiece both in modern train and painstaking preservation. This film is beneficial of being in any collection interest in gargantuan filmmaking.
This film is ripe for reassessment as among the best still films ever made and a good work of art. Unfortunately, most peaceful films are rarely seen outside of a little group of calm film enthusiasts. Murnau’s earlier film “Nosferatu” is an exception, mainly because panic genre fans brought it to the attention of a wider audience. So “Nosferatu,” a relatively immature low-budget work, receives all the attention, while “Faust,” in every method beyond it, is not nearly so distinguished simply because it doesn’t topple neatly into a genre.
“Faust” features a stylish dream-like atmosphere punctuated with splendid special effects and lush visuals. Of course, this will not be to everyone’s taste. Those looking for realistic straightforward storytelling may procure it tiresome or droll. I would say that “Faust” will appeal to fans of surreal “cult” films, ones that execute their fill original allegorical world, such as “Brazil,” “Shaded City,” “The City of Lost Children,” “Being John Malkovich,” “Metropolis,” and the films of Jean Cocteau. In fact, the general atmosphere of Faust is most similar to Cocteau’s “Beauty and the Beast” — the young version of Faust reminds me of the Prince the Beast becomes. On a slightly lighter designate, “Faust” should also appeal to fans of cult television shows like “The Avengers,” “The Prisoner,” and “Twin Peaks.” I would even demand it to appeal to fans of classic Disney animation.

For a tranquil film of its day, the describe quality on “Faust” is very qualified. There is some itsy-bitsy unrepaired distress early on, but the portray quality becomes increasingly pristine as the film progresses. Of course, its certainly not as good-looking as a recent film nor those few mute films where the unique negatives survive, but its certainly far better looking than “Nosferatu,” where only a single so-so print survived. I deem most people will be pleasantly surprised at objective how capable this looks. If the film ever finds the audience it deserves, enough to interpret a thorough clean-up with recent digital techniques, I imagine that this film could glance even more spectacular. The soundtrack consists of an obliging orchestral secure.
Silent films being a cult in themselves, its doubly hard when their subject is also of mainly cult appeal. I hope “Faust” can atomize out of the straightjacket of quiet films. It deserves to be ranked not unbiased as among the best tranquil films, but as a classic film period.
